GLEDHILL MARKETING SERVICES
Exhibitions are expensive; each enquiry can cost £100 to £200 to obtain. Just take the cost of an exhibition - stand space, design, build, travel, hotels, salaries, etc and divide by the number of valid enquiries. It is not cheap.
It is therefore vital to ensure that the objectives for an exhibition are agreed and the stand reflects the selling mission and the graphics are first class.
Press releases and invitations must be sent out well in advance to the key publications and key editors and journalists contacted.
Potential customers must be invited too. This may require a mailing campaign, e-mails or telephone calling
Most importantly, all stand staff must be briefed before the exhibition, manning rosters agreed and a follow up system defined before the show.
This is a significant drain on resources. GMS has many years of experience ensuring that exhibitions are planned, executed and are cost effective and successful.
Exhibitors can fail to meet their objectives at an exhibition by not preparing for the whole event.
It is vital to plan for an exhibition well in advance in order to attract the right visitors. Mail shots, e-mail campaigns or telephone campaigns can all help to bring the right prospective customers to a stand. During the show many sales leads are obtained - a system to follow up needs to be devised and monitored.
Many companies do not have the resource to deal with this short term activity. GMS has the experience and the dedication to help make an exhibition a cost-effective and successful operation.
